Jordan McGrath

Junior Industrial Designer

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design from UNSW. His work is guided by design thinking and an interest in emotional design - the belief that products should create connection, add meaning, and be valued for longer.

His passion for design began with an appreciation for the small details in everyday objects and how they quietly shape daily experiences. He is inspired by simple, intuitive products that feel effortless to use.

Jordan’s background includes experience in furnishings and soft furnishings across both design and manufacturing. In a previous role, he digitised product ranges to improve production efficiency, designed lounges and sofas, and contributed to rebranding work.

Since joining Vert, Jordan has worked across a wide range of projects, from consumer food packaging and cosmetic bottles to sculptural outdoor play equipment. He brings strength in design thinking, concept development, and clear, consistent client-facing communication.

For Jordan, industrial design is about understanding a product’s full story - how it’s made, how it’s used, and how design, communication, and sustainability come together. He sees design as a way to create thoughtful impact in everyday life and approaches sustainability as an ongoing, evolving practice.

Vert Design acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands they work on, the Gadigal Lands of the Eora Nation, and to pay respect to Elders past, present, and emerging.
